The MCU Video Multiconference Server allows several participants using a SIP compatible client (either softphone or videophone) to join a conference with audio, video and text mixing between all the participants.

It is compatible with any SIP proxy/router/registrar, like Asterisk or Kamailo, being the integration really simple, all that is needed is forward the desired SIP uris to the server running the MCU.

Participants doesn't need to share the same codecs or capabilities, and the MCU will be able to handle each media inpu and provide the desired ouput for the device the participant is using.

A web UI is available providing adminstration functionality and configuration and management of conferences. The MCU also provides flash broadcasting services, allowing people to watch ongoing conferences using just a web browser.

Both open source and closed source versions are available, check the functional specifications page for a comparation bewteen both versions.
